GMG competed in the Iowa Star Art Conference at Meskwaki. We were welcome by Meskwaki dancers and got to draw them, as well. There were breakout sessions full of weaving, beading, and printmaking. Towards the end, we had the awards. Seanna Witte got 1st place in 2D Mixed Media and Brynn White got 2nd place in Drawing. GMG 7-12 students spent Earth Day at Union Grove State Park in Tama County (Wednesday, April 22). Students and staff planted 450 trees in 2 hours . Students hiked the trails and participated in an activity to learn about the park's ecosystem. DNR, park staff, and volunteers provided the tree-planting training, as well as the teaching about the ecosystem. The Tama County Cattlemen grilled the meat they donated. After . . .

GMG FFA Member Rhianna Murty earned 1* place in the State FFA Beef Entreprenuership Proficiency Area with her SAE project .
